A National Historic Landmark, the Gary Aquatorium was rescued from demolition by the Chanute Aquatorium Society in 1991. The building honors Octave Chanute, the grandfather of flight, and the Tuskegee Airmen, the pioneers who spearheaded the integration of the armed forces.
Be a part of history by holding your event in the new Tuskegee Wing with its secret garden, or in the spacious upstairs open-air gallery. All rental proceeds are used to maintain the facility.
The Chanute Aquatorium Society is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the Gary Aquatorium.
